When you sign in with Google, we may receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We may also ask for your phone number to support communication and store staff management.
Business owners may provide additional information such as store name, description, phone, WhatsApp, Instagram, address, map location, and store images.
1.2 Loyalty and Transaction Data
We collect loyalty program data such as stamp cards you join, stamp counts, stamp and reward redemption history, your card QR identifier, and product tags associated with scans when available.
1.3 Usage and Device Information
We may collect non-personal or semi-personal technical information such as device type, app usage data, session cookies, and local storage used for the progressive web app (PWA) and to keep a reference to your cards.
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 Providing and Improving Walaa Card
We use collected information to operate, maintain, and improve Walaa Card, including personalizing your experience, enabling loyalty programs between stores and customers, and providing aggregated insights to merchants.
2.2 Communication
We may use your contact details to respond to inquiries, send account or service-related notices, and support store operations (such as internal admin approval alerts).
2.3 Business Analytics
Aggregated and anonymized data may be used to understand usage trends and improve program performance. This information does not directly identify individuals.
3. Sharing of Information
3.1 Participating Businesses
When you join a store’s loyalty program, we may share relevant personal and loyalty data with that business solely to manage the program and deliver rewards.
3.2 Service Providers
We engage service providers to help operate Walaa Card, including: Supabase (authentication and database), Google (sign-in and maps), Cloudinary (image storage), OpenStreetMap Nominatim (geocoding), and Vercel (hosting). These providers receive limited access as needed and are expected to use data only for the purposes for which we engage them.
Telegram may be used internally for platform admin notifications (such as business approval requests), not as an end-user marketing channel.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or the rights, safety, or property of others.
4. Payments and Sale of Data
Walaa Card is currently free and we do not process payment cards in the app. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We take reasonable measures to protect the security and confidentiality of your information. However, no transmission over the internet or mobile networks can be guaranteed fully secure. We cannot ensure or warrant that your information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by unauthorized persons.
